Virtual Reality CricketGenre: SportsDeveloper:Karl Binder, David NestorukPublisher:stickeeRelease Date: 7 Feb, 2018 Balls! Virtual Reality Cricket Full Version Free * Best VR Cricket Game You Should Buy *http:\/\/www.zeeshanarshad.com\/topic\/611\/htc-vive-best-vr-cricket-gameUpdate (Nov 7, 2017): Amazing....that's absolutely #1 VR cricket game now which has to be bought for any cricket lover who own Vive. I checked new features of animated fielders, net practice and they are so much interesting. Specially the Scenario challenges. Now it gives something to beat :)Update (Nov 2, 2017): I don't regret at all even though I had bought it few months ago based on its best gameplay over other crickets, when there was not even a single update message. And, now developers are bringing an update soon with their announcement. Goodluck.- Original Review -This is the only BEST cricket on vive which I play and really enjoy and if an update is coming (as developer confirmed me too) with animated fielders and further improvements then it will the best vr cricket game for vive as of now. I checked many other cricket games on vive, they are either piece of cartoon, incomplete, or just funny. I've been recording highlights and my records. You can see how really this game looks like in action on my given official website link in start of review.. EDIT~Since the update this game has improved massivley.Well done devs. Bat length better although grip still very slightly high. Addition of new modes and outdoor net is great.Only real issues left for me now would be probably facing spin. medium spin is essentialy an 80mph seaming delivery with bouncers. This makes it impossible to play shots against this bowling and very hard to complete some of the spin based challenges. No wides given for wide bowls aswell.Other than that its fantastic and still play 3 - 4 times a week.~I have never written any kind of review for any game i own, and the reason why i am writing one for this is due to how passionate i am about cricket :-) and i would love the devs to make a couple of small changes.Firstly.. would i recommend this game?? yes i would! Are there issues ..... yes there are.I think the main issue for me with this game is that the bat is very unrealistic. Length of bat is ridiculous and general position that you hold the handle is way off. This matters a great deal as half the bat dissapears into the ground and as the bat is too low this also means that balls that you would hit in real life end up going through the handle or shoulder of the bat.I want this game to work soooo bad and honestly its nearly there.2 issues for me are as follows1. Bat issues ....see above2. Slow bowling should be what it says.....slow. so notch it down by about 5-7mph should help. Especially spin.Or at least mix it up a bit.All the other things that people have mentioned would not bother me as long as the bat thing is sorted.Love playing though and i really hope another update comes soon. Things I like about this game:The ball actually connects with the bat, no matter where you hit it, unlike in other cricket vr games.Fun special run chases, over surviving, etc.Fielder animations and running actually look (somewhat) goodYou can skip waiting for the fielder to throw the ball back (very, very occasionally bugs and the bowler stands there without doing anything and you have to restart)Only need one controllerLeaderboard systemSatisfying when the ball is hitGenerally a great gameCons (although minor, still have an impact)The markings on the pitch don't actually line up with the stumpsFielders will catch the ball 100% of the time, no matter the speed, the height, the distance etc.You can punch the ball 500km\/h straight to silly mid off and he will catch it while playing the one handed diving animation. The only exception is the wicketkeeper. He will catch "nicks" 100% of the time but if you sky the ball and he's the one running for it he will let it drop 100% of the time. The outfield is seriously, seriously slow. The ball will occasionally bounce off the boundary for 3 (mainly near square or third man)If a spin bowler opens the bowling, until you restart the match, every bowler (even the fast bowlers) will have the ball turn the same directionThe stumps are way too wide and a little bit too tallThe sounds get very repetitive (like the crowd cheering for a boundary and the milestone cheering.) Would love to be able to disable specific sounds while still having the bat connecting with the ball sound And the main one that always bugs me: the handle is bigger than the vive controller. Seriously. Please fix this. Move the controller closer to the bat or just have it the same size. Bugs me so much.Despite all this, I've spent many hours in love with this game, and despite all the cons listed, the pros definitely outweigh. Don't let this review put you off. I hope that changes are made, bet of luck to the dev team. The best cricket game now for VR. Hope the devs keeps improving the game.. Updated reviewRecent updates have really propelled Balls! into the premier league of VR cricket games. This is also a fun game to play and puts you front and centre against some seriously good bowling. Barring a few issues, i.e. no sound for when your bat hits the floor and your hands being a little too high on the bat handle, the batting action is spot on. There are also lots of great scenarios to play. The developers are listening and are responsive, and provided these and a few other minor issues are sorted out then this game will be for me, easily the number one VR cricket game and a must have for any sports orientated VR owner.Original reviewI really enjoyed the limited time I have spent playing so far and with the promise of a significant update very soon I am happy to give this a big thumbs up.. Fun knockabout game with lots of options. There is one pretty major flaw with Cricket in VR in general, not just this game. And that is ball physics. When you're batting in cricket, you can loosen your grip to allow the bat to take off the inertia of the ball, stopping it dead pretty much. This is something I don't think you can translate into VR very well as there is no physical action happening. This means that defensive strokes using that technique don't work and you can balloon a ball into the air for 6 or to get caught just by fidgiting in your shot selection a bit too much. Other than that, if you go Twenty20 and just throw your bat around you can have a lot of fun.
